We stayed here for four nights before heading off to our biking tour in the Dordogne region. The hotel was easy to access from the airport – take the A Tram right outside the airport and get off at the Gambetta Tram stop. The hotel is just on the other side of the shopping complex, less than a five minute walk away. Arriving at 9am, we were told that our room would not be ready until 3pm. Staff at reception were helpful but their English limited, depending on who was on duty. We are bilingual so this did not affect us but other guests struggled to be understood. After storing our bags, we headed out to explore. Once we checked in, we were informed that we were ungraded to a larger room. Our room was well appointed and functional, although I found it odd that the toilet was located outside the bathroom, on the other side of the room, without any hand washing area. The kitchen area was well equipped, but we only prepared our breakfasts and snacks. My husband did partake in the in house breakfast buffet which he found under whelming, the food was cold, selection limited and an altogether poor value for 14E. The area is surrounded by numerous restaurants of all different price points and there is a large supermarket in the mall right down the street. The bed was comfortable as was our sleep. Our room faced a small square. There is a screen that separates the sleeping area from the living/kitchen area should your partner wish to stay up. Our bathroom had a shower that was separate from the tub. My major complaint that only one towel was provided per person and you had to pay extra to have them changed or your room cleaned. Most days we just explored Bordeaux on foot which was easy to do. The hotel is very well located. The trams were affordable and easily accessed. We also went to St. Emilion one day to explore and visit a few wineries. As an aside, entrance to museums is free on the first Sunday of each month, but generally.

The location is ideal, just a short walk from the old town with bus stops virtually outside the hotel and tram stops just a few minutes' walk away. There's a huge Auchan supermarket in the Meriadeck Shopping Centre around the corner, a boulangerie across the square from the hotel and a branch of Picard next door. The A tram took us from outside the terminal at Bordeaux Airport to within a few minutes' walk of the aparthotel. Our spacious room consisted of seating and dining areas, a well-equipped kitchenette with a good sized-fridge, a dishwasher, a stovetop and a microwave, a sleeping area with plenty of storage, good lighting and a large comfortable bed, and a good bath-sized bathroom with a walk-in shower and a full-sized bath, plus a separate toilet. Everything was in good repair, was spotlessly clean and worked well. Our room was located on the 5th floor and had a long balcony overlooking a tree-lined inner courtyard. It was very quiet and we slept well. Check in and out was very efficient and friendly. Housekeeping is only included in the hotel rate for stays of 7 nights or more, and can otherwise be requested for an additional payment. We had no problem with the lack of housekeeping as we enjoy our privacy and also prefer to clean up after ourselves (there was a room with trash bins on the ground floor and a supply of new rubbish bags available on request from reception). Our room-only rate was great value and we would happily stay in Adagio Bordeaux Centre Gambetta again.

The location is fantastic! Right in the city centre and approx. 10-15min to the River Garonne. Access to lots of restaurants, shops and there's a shopping mall right across from the hotel. The TBM bus #1 from the airport drops you right at the hotel - this was a great bonus & the stop to get the bus to the airport is a 5min walk from the hotel. We requested an early check in which the hotel provided as we had an early flight in - this was great as we managed to rest before heading out for a whole day of touring. The Quinconces tram station is close by making it easy to access sites such as the Cite du Vin. We did a walking tour of the city (Voicemap) and we could walk to all the sites from the hotel which was awesome as we had a one day trip & we managed to do loads thanks to the hotel location. The staff were really friendly especially the lovely ladies at the reception in the evening on 23rd Feb - they were super helpful & gave us great recommendations for restaurants - Peppone is a must try when in Bordeaux - never imagined I'd enjoy Italian food in France but hey :-) it was awesome! The hotel room was clean & convenient as it has a kitchenette so you can prepare meals / tea / breakfast or heat your meals / leftovers in the microwave. There's also a gym, steam room / hammam - though we didn't get to use this as we had a short stay. If you have a short trip to Bordeaux this hotel is a must - it will save you lots of time thanks to the ease of access of all the main spots.

We absolutely loved our trip to Bordeaux & we're so happy we stayed at Aparthotel Adagio. It was a great central location. Our room was lovely & spacious. We were on the 2nd floor. Staff were so lovely & friendly there. Would definitely stay there again. Best advice we got was to buy city pass cards which gave us 1 city tour(bus or boat) then free access on public transport (trams, buses & water taxis) but also free admission to so many places like Cité du Vin, Bassins des Lumières all fab to visit. We also went on a half day trip to 2 vineyards at a reduced price because of our passes. We loved our trip to Bordeaux. Will definitely be back & will stay at Aparthotel Adagio again. Thanks for a fab stay

The location of this place was absolutely perfect! Every major landmark of the city is within easy walking distance (30 minutes max.), or there is a tram stop only a 5 minutes walk away, and the trams are great. The room was lovely, spacious, and clean. Very quiet and peaceful for a good night's sleep as well, and the kitchen was well stocked up with equipment. I want to give a big thank you to the reception team for being extremely friendly, and in particular to Nina for being so wonderful throughout our stay! She gave us lots of recommendations and always checked in with us when we passed her in reception, which added the loveliest personal touch to our stay.
